As part of the 27th edition of the European Film Festival, the East Africa Arts programme will screen the groundbreaking feature film 'I Am Not a Witch' on 11th May at 5 pm at the National Museum of Kenya Auditorium.
'I Am Not a Witch' is the debut feature film written and directed by Zambian-born Welsh Rungano Nyoni. Following a banal incident in her local village in rural Zambia, 8-year old girl Shula is accused of witchcraft. This incident leads to a full-blown witch trial, where she is found guilty and sentenced to life on a state-run witch camp. Join us on 11th May at 5 pm the National Museum of Kenya Auditorium to see how the story unfolds.
