Uber campaign: terms and conditions

This offer applies exclusively to the use of the Uber app for transport services and cannot be used with any other Uber product, promotion, or service.
Vouchers are valid only in where Uber services are available, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, and Naivasha and are subject to the availability of Uber driver-partners.
This is a British Council offer, available only to individuals who have purchased the British Council IELTS test.
The test taker has to accept receiving marketing information from the British Council to be eligible for the promotion.

Each week during the campaign, the first 50 test takers (18 years and above) who registered on the online registration system with the British Council will receive a KES 1500 Uber voucher.
The voucher provides a single ride discount of up to KES 1500. If the ride exceeds this value, the excess will be charged to the user’s default payment method (eligible card or cash).
Any unused voucher value is forfeited and cannot be carried over to another ride.

The offer is valid until 30 June 2026, and all free rides must be taken by this date.
Each voucher code is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Vouchers expire on their specified date, and any unused value is forfeited, even if a booking or order is in progress.
The British Council reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time before 30 June 2026.
If a test taker cancels the registration and asks for a refund after a voucher has been issued, KES 1500 will be deducted in the final settlement.

The voucher provides a KES 1500 Uber credit, which will be added to your Uber wallet once the code is applied.
The credit can be used across multiple rides (e.g. to and from your test centre) until the full value is used.
To receive the full credit, the voucher code must be added to your Uber account before use.
Only one voucher can be applied per ride.
If a ride exceeds the available credit, the remaining balance will be charged to your selected payment method.
The credit must be used within the validity period specified.

Vouchers cannot be sold or redeemed for cash.
They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
Misuse of a voucher, such as attempting to redeem it multiple times beyond the allowed limit, may be considered fraud.

To benefit from the offer, the applicable voucher code must be entered in the Uber app before requesting a ride.
