By aligning UK expertise with South Africa’s priorities in education, science, skills and culture, we help strengthen institutions, expand opportunity and support inclusive growth.
We work with government, education institutions and sector partners to support long-term collaboration, innovation and inclusive growth. In higher education and science, we help build sustainable partnerships between UK and South African institutions, supporting research, innovation, commercialisation and employability. Through our skills and TVET work, we promote demand-driven training that strengthens colleges and improves employment prospects for young people.
In foundation education, we work with partners to improve the quality of English teaching and learning, while programmes such as Premier Skills use sport to build life skills, employability, inclusion and community resilience. In arts and culture, we connect South African artists and creative organisations with UK and global networks, supporting collaboration, creative practice and access to new markets. Across our work, we help create pathways for young people, educators, researchers and creatives to participate in a more skilled, connected and inclusive society.
